Internships

Punkin Patch Farm welcomes interns from outside Canada who want to practise their English and learn about natural artistic horsemanship in exchange for doing chores.

CHORES:
– Feeding horses, dogs, cats, chickens
– Scooping poop
– Cleaning the barn
– Yard maintenance ie. fixing fences, cutting lawn, raking leaves, pulling weeds
– Stacking hay
– Helping with Lessons and / or Pony Parties

LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES:
– Straightness Training Mastery Program
– Parelli Natural Horsemanship Program
– Liberty and Tricks
– Colt Starting (in season)
– Trail Riding
– Introduction to Driving

ACCOMODATION:
– We provide an air conditioned bedroom with a double bed
– Bathroom with large soaker tub
– Kitchen
– Lounge area with cats
– Pick up or drop off at Montreal Airport (YUL Pierre Elliot Trudeau Airport)

MEALS:
– We provide mostly organic or homegrown food and eat a low carb diet (no sugar or flour)
– Do-it-yourself breakfast and lunch and help with dinners
– Cater to allergies or preferences

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE:
– Students from age 16 up who are responsible and motivated
– Preferably from outside Canada, wanting to practise English
– One person or two people okay to share bedroom
