Scheduled Weekend Lesson Days:
I have decided to make Lesson Days a little different this year. It’s pretty difficult fitting them in with pony parties most weekends, but I need to have time for my volunteers to take their lessons too. Here’s how it works: I schedule a day on the weekend as a lesson day. The day goes from 9:00 to 4:00. Everyone who wants a lesson that day will sign up for a time slot. I expect that everyone will know how to catch, groom, tack up and warm up their horse and be ready for their time slot so that procedure doesn’t take away from your lesson time. You can choose private or if you are working on a similar topic as a friend, choose group. You can play with the horse(s) for as long as you want during the day unless someone else wants a lesson with the same horse. You must sign up at least a week in advance because if nobody signs up, I’ll go out for breakfast with Wolfi or go on a trail ride. If you have volunteer hours, you can exchange them for the lessons. If you don’t, I’ll take cash. Check the schedule right away and sign up for your volunteer time and lesson time.
-Private lesson per hour: $30
-Semi private lesson per hour per person: $25
-Group lesson per hour per person: $20

-PPF instructor riding client’s horse while client rides PPF horse in lesson. n/c
-PPF instructing client training techniques is considered a lesson.
-Several positions are available for working in exchange for lessons after client has completed ten paid lessons.
-Exchange rates are based on $15/hr for client eg. four hours for private natural horsemanship lesson.
-Brushing horses is not considered work for exchange, but part of lesson preparation.
-Work exchanges are not play time. Clients must do jobs assigned and return tools to their places. It is not fair to other clients if there is one who gets a free lesson for playing while the others work. It is not fair to PPF instructor if she has to redo assigned jobs or pick up tools.
